Responsible action and careful use of resources — these are the keys to our future. Therefore, from the extraction of raw materials to production and delivery, Stölzle makes sure that our environment is burdened as little as possible.

• Most of their products are manufactured in Weisswasser, Germany with most raw materials coming from regional natural resources.
• Machines, other materials, and packaging are also primarily from regional suppliers.
• The production and thus the glasses are 100% lead-free and free of other harmful substances.
• Stölzle has been an active participant in the EU Emission Trading Scheme since 2005, and as such is encouraged to steadily reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases through the use of the latest technology (i.e. renewal of the filter system in 2016).
• With DIN EN ISO 50001 certification, the company introduced a new energy management system to improve energy efficiency.
• All glasses that do not meet their high quality standards stay in the production cycle and are re-melted and used again.
• All their buildings and the water for the social wing are heated by waste heat from production, which means that no additional energy source is required.
• Packaging has a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certification; filling material and pallets are also made of recyclable material.
• Rainwater collected in a cistern replaces the use of water in the production process.
